Day 1 – Our first day is a fabulous introduction to Bedouin Life. Ride through the villages on horseback under the palm trees along to the river Nile. The Nile is incredibly peaceful, and you can see the buffalo graze along the banks. Lunch will be provided at a village and our afternoon continues along the Nile. The first day is a true impression of the “Egyptian way of life”. There are numerous small local restaurants in the area for you to enjoy an evening walk and dinner at.
Day 2 – Our second day takes us into the countryside of Luxor. The lush green sugar cane fields are perfect for a good canter and the scenery is spectacular! Watch the farmers working in their fields just as their ancestors did using old traditions. After lunch we will ride onto the desert and visit the Temple Medinet Habu, known as the shadow of the mountains of Thebes. You will have an early dinner at our guest house before heading to In the for an evening tour and Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temples, one of the most beautiful ancient temples In Luxor. You will walk through the halls and columns of the temple.
The show itself takes place seated at the end in a theatre near the Sacred Lake of the temple overlooking a breath-taking panoramic view of the temple, enjoying this magical atmosphere, an experience of a lifetime.
Day 3 – Our last day in Luxor we plan for you to see as much as possible in one day and is a non-riding day. After an early breakfast around 7am we will start with half-day tour to see the necropolis of ancient Thebes. Visit The Valley of the Kings, last resting-place of the ancient Pharaohs, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Memnon colossal statues.
The Valley of the Kings: the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial. There are many kings buried in this valley. The most known tomb is King Tut-Ankh-Amon tomb. The Valley of the Kings is one of the most popular tourist sites in the world, and people flock here in huge numbers. The Temple of Hatshepsut: one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. Queen Hatshepsut was the famous female ruler of Egypt. She posed as a male to gain the throne. The most unique scenes on the walls of the temple were for her expedition to Somalia. Including a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, which mark the remains of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.
After our morning tour and some lunch we will cross to the West Bank by boat, taking a horse drawn carriage through the hustle and bustle of the City. Our horse drawn carriage we will ride past the Obelisks and Temples, visit the colourful and vibrant markets and there will some time for shopping too! Our last day finishes with an informal dinner on the West.
Villa Nile House is a quirky charming guest house with outstanding service. Built in an oriental style with traditional materials like wood and cob, and comfortably decorated. It has two terraces on the roof with views of Luxor temple and Hatshepsut temple.
